June in Guatemala is typically hot, with sunny mornings and rainy afternoons. We hope for clear skies all weekend long but please keep this detail in mind. Ladies, please bring a light sweater or shawl to the wedding as it may get chilly in the evening.
Antigua is generally safe. That said, like anywhere, it's important to be aware of your surroundings and take precautions (keep your belongings secure, avoid walking alone at night in unfamiliar locations, etc.) Regarding transportation within Antigua, we recommend taking Tuk Tuks (pay in cash) or Uber.
The currency used in Antigua is the Guatemalan Quetzal. While most restaurants, shops, etc., accept credit cards, smaller vendors (think: street artists, market vendors, fruit stands) will likely prefer cash. We recommend carrying small bills when you explore Antigua. ATMs are widely available.
If you have any unanswered questions about the wedding weekend, please reach out to either Aviv or Jonathan.
Individual dress codes for each event can be found in the schedule. It’s also important to note that the streets of Antigua, Guatemala are primarily cobblestone, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and thinking twice before wearing stilettos.
