Shul Attire (synagogue)
An aufruf is a Jewish tradition that takes place before the wedding, when the groom is honored during synagogue services with a special blessing for the couple's upcoming marrige. It is a joyful celebration shared with family and friends, followed by a festive brunch. Although we would love for everyone to attend, we understand this may be one of the only days you have to explore beautiful Antigua. Please feel free to skip the event and take the opportunity to enjoy the city, relax, and make the most of your time here.
