Traveling to Vicksburg

The closest airport to Vicksburg is an hour's drive away in Jackson, Mississippi (the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport or "JAN"). Alternatively, the New Orleans airport is about a 3 and a half hour drive from Vicksburg. While in Vicksburg, transportation to all wedding events will be provided from Anchuca, the Duff Green, and the Mulberry. We have arranged for transportation to and from the Jackson airport by bus at specific times on Friday and Sunday: - On Friday, October 13, the bus will leave the airport around 3pm, as most of the flights that day arrive around 2pm. - On Sunday, October 15, the bus will leave Vicksburg around 11am (depending on pickup locations) heading to the airport so that guests could make any flight scheduled to leave at or later than 2pm. Closer to time, we will send out a request for a headcount and flight info, so please let us know at that time if you're going to be on board! Car services are limited in Mississippi, so finding an uber or taxi from the airport may not be possible without advance booking. Rental cars may be picked up at the airports (see sections below).

The Mulberry

The Mulberry is located in Downtown Vicksburg within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions. We have reserved a block with a locked-in rate of $129 for standard rooms and $139 for Riverview (recommended) rooms, plus a 10% tax. To book as part of our group and receive the block rate, please call the hotel at 601-301-2500 and tell them you are part of the Burrell/Fritz Wedding. We have arranged transportation to and from the Mulberry for all wedding events.

Anchuca

Anchuca is a historic bed and breakfast located a little ways off from downtown Vicksburg. We have all 10 rooms blocked for the wedding weekend, so you will be in good company. To book, please call Anchuca, and guests of the Burrell/Fritz wedding will receive a discounted rate. You can see the unique layout of each room online, but all booking must be done over the phone (as the website shows no availability due to our block). Some of the rooms have outdoor stairs, so please mention any accessibility concerns to the staff when booking. We will provide transportation to and from Anchuca to all wedding events.

The Duff Green is a historic Civil War-era mansion that is now a charming bed and breakfast. Please call 601-636-6968 to book as part of the block and receive a discount. We have arranged transportation to and from the Duff Green for all wedding events.

The Hampton is located around the corner from the Vicksburg Military Park and is a good option for guests with a car. Oak Hall, formerly called the Stained Glass Manor, is a charming bed and breakfast located one block from the Burrells' home. It is an ideal location for guests already renting a car, as it is not located within walking distance of downtown attractions.
