FAQs

Question

Is the ceremony and the reception in the same location?

Answer

No! We will be having our ceremony at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia, Ohio. Our reception will be at the Magnolia Estate - Rosewood Manor in Miamisburg, Ohio. While there is an approximate 30 minute drive between the two, they are both conveniently located near Interstate 75!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will start promptly at 1:00pm. We suggest our guest arrive by 12:30pm to allow for enough time to find their seats. If guests are staying closer to the reception venue, we suggest allowing plenty of time to drive to the church as I-75 can occasionally be delayed or under construction. Once the ceremony begins, we will be closing to doors and not letting anyone else in.

Question

Do I have to be Catholic to attend the ceremony?

Answer

No! We will not be having a full Catholic ceremony. While there will be biblical readings and Catholic aspects, we will not be distributing communion. All are welcome!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking at both the church and reception ceremony. However, we do suggest carpooling to the reception especially if you will be drinking.

Question

Can I take pictures and videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony and request that you refrain from taking pictures/videos during the ceremony. We will have a photographer and videographer there to capture of our special day and would hate to have a cell phone make the shot! We want our commitment to each other to be an "in the moment" experience for everyone, and for our guests to be respectful of the church service and holy sacrament taking place. However, you may take as many pictures/videos you want at the reception ceremony!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While we both love to be comfy, we want to see all our friends and family dressed up! We are asking that our guests dress in cocktail/semi-formal attire. Please no shorts, tennis shoes, jeans, or t-shirts.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the large number of guests we are inviting, we can only accommodate those formally invited. If you are allowed a plus one it will be depicted directly on your wedding invitation. We want to keep our wedding small and intimate with our closest family and friends!

Question

Are there colors we should avoid wearing?

Answer

We just ask that you refrain from wearing colors traditionally saved for the bride (white, cream, ivory). Other than that, wear whatever color you feel like!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While Avery and Cooper LOVE children, we ask that you refrain from bringing children unless stated otherwise on your invitation. Due to the large amount of guests invited we cannot accommodate all children.

Question

How can I RSVP?

Answer

Please navigate to the RSVP tab on our website and search for your name. Please let us know if you will be attending the ceremony and/or reception (each have their own separate RSVP link). The RSVP tab will become available after formal invitations have been sent out in mid to early 2025.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

To allow an accurate number of guests be told to our caterers and venue, we ask that your RSVP by August 25th, 2025. If you do not RSVP by this date, you will be marked as not attending and be removed from the guest list.
