In August 2015, two young freshman were sat next to each other in 7th period art class. With last names so close alphabetically to one another, it was inevitable they would be seated next to each other all throughout high school. With the homecoming dance soon approaching, they decided to go together at 14 years old. From then on, they became best friends! They went to multiple dances together, shared movie recommendations, worked on homework together, hung out at football/basketball games, and spent all of high school together. Everyone (including both sets of parents!) kept telling them to date but they were “just friends.” Fast forward three years later, October 2018, the two decided to go to their senior homecoming together. The two decided to “give it a go” and start dating, even though they had been friends for so long. When Avery moved to New York and Cooper stayed in Ohio, the two decided to persevere. With being 5 hours apart, they decided to do long distance. There were many long hours driven, plane flights taken, phone calls, facetime dates, and adjusting to not being in person. Throughout the past 5 years of college, they have continually found ways to make it work because the bond and love between the two is so special. It is rare to find so much love and compassion in ones best friend, and they were extremely lucky to find it at such a young age. There have been many years of love between the two and they are excited to be together (in person) forever ❤️
