Things To Do

We're so happy to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you! This place has meant so much to us over the last ten years, and we're excited to bring you all to such a special place. We wish we could recommend all of our favorite spots, but there are just too many to see. Instead, we've listed just a few that highlight the best food, wine, and scenery that the area has to offer. You'll just have to come back and visit again to see and do more!

Grand Traverse Pie Company

101 North Park Street, Traverse City, MI 49684

Who doesn't love pie? This place is famous for a reason. Try the local specialty, cherry pie, or try one of their many other flavors.

Cherry Republic | Traverse City

154 East Front Street, Traverse City, MI 49684

A store for the cherry lovers. You can find just about any product here made out of the local cherries. The dark chocolate-covered cherries, cherry salsa, and cherry wine are our favorites.

The Village at Grand Traverse Commons

1200 West Eleventh Street, Traverse City, MI 49684

An old, historic asylum turned common grounds- a great place to eat and shop. Grab breakfast at Sugar 2 Salt or Red Spire, grab a drink at one of the wineries or tap rooms, or have dinner at the famous Trattoria Stella.

Mari Vineyards

8175 Center Road, Traverse City, MI 49686

Travel up the Old Mission Peninsula for a wine tasting at Mari Vineyards and enjoy the beautiful views of the Grand Traverse Bay. Ask us for other vineyard recommendations and make it a full wine tour! The area is known for its amazing vineyards.

Tandem Ciders

2055 North Setterbo Road, Suttons Bay, MI 49682

Apples are grown all over the peninsula, and where there are good apples, there is good cider! We never miss visiting this place when we're in town.

Farm Club

10051 Lake Leelanau Drive, Traverse City, MI 49684

A glorious farm-to-table restaurant that is worth taking a drive to. It's a beautiful property, beautiful space, and beautiful food.

Historic Fishtown

203 West River Street, Leland, MI 49654

Travel up the Leelanau Penninsula to Historic Fishtown, a quaint little fishing village. Grab some Moomer's ice cream, pop into the local art shops, and walk along the fishing docks.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Maple City, MI 49664

Come a day early and rent a car to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes, Michigan's giant sand dunes along the lakeshore. This unique park is a beautiful place for a hike.
