In the summer of 2021, after years of a friendship that became so much more, Brooke and Avery sat in Mt. Tabor Park under a canopy of trees, resting in the newfound sureness of their connection. When Brooke dropped Avery off at Union Station for his ride back to Spokane, she couldn’t resist the temptation to upgrade their relationship; when the train left the station, Brooke and Avery were officially a couple. Since that day, they have been simply inseparable. After graduating from Gonzaga’s Engineering school, they have built a beautiful world, all their own. They moved out West to Seattle, settled into their first and second homes, and have fallen deeper and deeper into the comfort, familiarity, and assurance that great love brings. Four years after that train left the station, Avery found himself in the same position Brooke had and knew it was time for an upgrade – he proposed to Brooke at Cannon Beach in April of 2025.
