Eric and I met through my cousin Cody. I thought he was so handsome, and then I found out he had a gf, so I never reached out. Couple months later, we actually met in person in July of 2017 at the Friday night drag races at TMS. He introduced himself while very drunk (which is hilarious now). We never really talked for the remainder of the year until late fall. We then started as friends on instagram and talking here and there. We lost contact for a while due to us both being in relationships. We then connected again on May 25, 2018. I was getting ready to head to my sisters high school graduation when he called me asking me to go camping with him and his “brother” (one of his really good friends). I agreed; he then picked me up at my parents house after my sister graduation. We had a great weekend hanging out with his cousins Jamie and Colleen and their kids. He then worked a very long day, drove all the way to TCU for my graduation (ended up missing me walk) but ended up bringing me flowers. A little while later, we officially started dating on June 21, 2018. We had many late nights having fun and enjoying each other. Things really got crazy on December 1, 2018 when we found out we were pregnant with our first who became our Ryker Ray. Our worlds were flipped upside down. We were so excited yet so terrified. August 2, 2019 at 1:02pm came faster than either of us would realize. We were so beyond excited and happy to welcome Ryker into this world. We both never knew what true unconditional love felt like until that moment. We hit some very low lows and high highs. We have made it so far, then the lord knew we were ready for more. He then gave us our 2nd little boy on March 29, 2021. We had no clue that this one would come even faster. November 29, 2021 at 7:06am we welcomed Jaxon Charles into this world. We now had 2 beautiful boys, and we had no idea how much our lives were gonna change. We had to find time for each other which came close to none. Some how we have made it this far. Little did I know shortly after Christmas we would be making a huge decision to become one. Seems weird right? We had already had 2 kids, moved a handful of times, and doing married people things for 4.5 years. About a week before christmas I could feel something was coming. He was being weird with where he went to get Christmas presents, and then just talking more about things for when we would get married (which he never really did). Then on Christmas Eve, I thought with every fiber of my being that it was gonna happen but it didn’t. I was a little let down but I thought I was overthinking. I then started to think Christmas morning and it didn’t come. So I blew it off. December 30, 2022 I went to work all day as well as Eric. I got a call when I got off work to get some milk. I got what we needed and came home. I walk through the door, and Eric is on his knee with a wrapped box in his hand. I didn’t want to get my hopes up cause I couldn’t believe it (Ryker was also on the floor with him so I thought he was dealing with him). I set down the milk and he tells me to open it. I couldn’t get the ribbon off so he helped me. He then opened the box and popped the question, I was already crying cause I couldn’t believe it. The words “Will you marry me?” came out and I couldn’t stop asking if he was being serious or if he was lying. I finally shut up and said, “Yes!!” I was crying and still couldn’t stop asking if he was serious! It was perfect, completely caught me off guard, our boys were there and it was in the comfort of our home. This is just the beginning of our story and I can’t wait to see what is to come!
