Gatineau Park
Gatineau Park is a favourite of Andrew and Valerie's. Boasting multiple hiking trails of all levels of difficulty, a plethera of swimming holes to jump into to cool off, and beautiful scenery, Gatineau Park is a must if you enjoy anything outdoorsy. If you're very adventurous try Lusk Caves!
Almonte
If you're willing to drive 45 mins outside of Ottawa, you may want to check out another favourite of ours: Almonte, a quaint, artistic town with the beautiful Mississippi Mills Conservation area just 5-10 mins away from the town center. The Mississippi Mills Conservation area is a very special place for Andrew and Valerie, and was even where they shot their engagement photos. You can enjoy a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the city by taking a light stroll through the many trails of the conservation area, or pop into a local shop or cafe.
Dominion Arboretum
Enjoy a stroll through gardens and over bridges close to the Rideau Canal (and across the street from the wedding venue!).
Parliament Hill
Grab a Beaver Tail and check out the classic architecture!
