Things To Do

Emerson Point Preserve

Emerson Point Preserve

5801 17th Street West, Palmetto, FL 34221
, 9417425923

Beautiful area right on the bay with nature trails, an observation deck, and water access. This is a favorite spot of Alli & Nick’s to go paddleboarding. You may even see a manatee or two!

Anna Maria Island

Anna Maria Island

Bean Point Beach 793 N Shore Dr, Anna Maria Island, FL 34216

Nick & Alli’s favorite beach, only 20ish minutes from downtown Bradenton. Powder white sand, turquoise waters, what more do you need? You can park on neighborhood streets where signs indicate if you head up to Bean Point, otherwise, Manatee Public Beach at the intersection of SR 64 and Gulf Drive has a large parking lot. It does fill up and tend to be quite a bit busier. The Sandbar between Manatee Public Beach and Bean Point is a great place to get lunch and a piña colada. There are some cute shops in the area as well. Sunsets on Anna Maria Island are unmatched, catch one if you can!

Riverwalk

Riverwalk

452 3rd Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205

2+ mile walking path along the Manatee River with beautiful park spaces throughout. If you’re a runner, this is a great place to jog around sunrise. There are often dolphins swimming down the river. The path runs from the Yacht Club across the street from the Springhill Marriott to the Courtyard Marriott to the east.

Mote Science Education Aquarium (SEA)

Mote Science Education Aquarium (SEA)

225 University Town Center Drive, Sarasota, FL 34243

Mote Marine’s new facility should be open by January and is supposed to be incredible!

Ringling Museum of Art

Ringling Museum of Art

5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL 34234
, 9413595700

The Ringling has a little something for everyone, whether you’re into fine art, architecture, circus life, or greenery. It’s located on Sarasota Bay and is a beautiful place to wander.

The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature

The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature

201 10th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34205
, 9417464131

The museum itself will not be open during the ceremony and reception, but it is pretty fantastic. If you have time, we highly recommend exploring during their business hours.
