What is the dress code?

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a room block at the Courtyard by Marriott Portsmouth hotel, just down the road from downtown Portsmouth and Jimmy's and will be providing transportation via Seacoast Trolley Company. Please note our room block is only for folks staying both Friday and Saturday nights. If you're planning to only stay Saturday, please book directly through the hotel. If you'd like to stay downtown and don't mind paying a bit more, there are a ton of options, including the Residence Inn by Marriott, the Hampton Inn & Suites Portsmouth Downtown and the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel (all walking distance to Jimmy's). There are also a ton of boutique hotel options, including the Thaxter Hotel, the Davenport Inn and the INN Downtown.

Will there be transportation provided from the hotel?

Yes – If you stay at the Courtyard Marriott where our room block is, you'll be transported by Seacoast Trolley Company! Transportation times TBD.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at Jimmy's by 5pm. The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm.

Is there parking available?

Answer

There are a ton of parking lots and street parking available in Portsmouth. Here are some important things to know: Courtyard Marriott - The hotel where our room block is is just down the street from Jimmy's and has free parking. Worth Parking Lot & Bridge Parking Lot - These are right next to Jimmy's and have metered parking. Garages - There are two main parking garages, Foundry Place garage (6 minute walk to Jimmy's) and Hanover garage (3 minute walk to Jimmy's). Foundry Place is $1/hour, max daily rate $20 and Hanover garage is $2/hour, max daily rate $40. Street parking - Metered parking for 9am-8pm Mon-Sat and 12-8pm on Sundays ($2/hour first three hours, 4+ hours is $5/hour).

While we love kids, we've decided to have an adults-only celebration. Thank you for making arrangements.

Where should we send our wedding gift?

Answer

Physical gifts can be sent to our home at 41 Bridle Path, Dover, NH 03820. We will have a wedding card box at our reception.

What time does the reception end?

Answer

The reception at Jimmy's ends at 11pm.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes! The after party will be from 11pm-1am at The Hammer Pub & Grille, about a 6 minute walk from Jimmy's. Please note this will be a cash bar. Transportation will be provided back to the hotel for those who plan to join.
