Welcome to #Samuelsmajesticlove Our Story: There are some people who's lives are destined to entwine like beautiful vines that grow along historic walls and towers. Over 15 years ago on a summer Sunday morning I was home on summer break from college and after church I remember an older church sister laughing in the foyer. I asked what was so funny, she replied with laughter "Rockell said him ah marry the pastor's daughter"! I rolled my eyes and looked around for this guy with the bold statement and did not see him. Well, just fine with me bc I was immediately disinterested! A few weeks later, Rockell worked up the courage to asked me out on a date after church one Sunday. Well I couldn't let the guy down directly so I told him I would think about it. You know what? I never got back to him! Subsequently we became church friends over the years and both dated other individuals but in our hearts God was creating a love for each other that would defy the test of time. Yes, it's true we tried to date each other over the years but it always failed because we did not submit to the plan and the will of God and stubbornly did it our way. After a tired cycle, we eventually went our separate ways and stopped communicating. Yet Jehovah, has the final say! Beloveds there are some things that ONLY God can do! Determined to be who God called him to be, and with me completely out of his life, Rockell went on a 40 day and then a 21 day fast to seek the Lord. After a year Rockell began to attempt to win me back but I refused to meet with him! Undeterred & empowered by the Holy Spirit, in total faith Rockell purchased an engagement ring, sought the blessing and wise counsel of his elder family members and Bishop McBean & Pastor Richard and after 30 days of preparation he totally surprised me with a proposal Sunday July 3rd after church. Sound familiar right? Sundays must be special indeed. With love rooted in my heart and in total faith in God my answer to Rockell's proposal was and is a resounding "Yes". Beloveds, our love story is beautifully imperfect and only God could have brought us here.
