We’ll be sharing the exact locations and addresses for the ceremony and reception after we receive your RSVP. Once you've RSVP’d, you’ll receive all the info you need to plan your trip and join us for the celebration. Thank you for helping us stay organized—we can't wait to see you there!
As soon as you know you're coming, go for it! The sooner the better - but please only RSVP if you're sure. With 60% of our guest list traveling from out of state, locking in our headcount early helps us plan everything from food to fun. So if you're in OR out, please let US know as soon as YOU know.
Cell service in Stanley can be spotty, and you might not have much service on the drive there either. We recommend downloading your directions and anything else you might need before you leave Boise, Twin Falls, or Sun Valley to avoid any stress when you get here.
The weather in September can be a bit all over the place in Stanley. Daytime temperatures are usually in the mid-60s to low 70s °F, but it can get chilly at night, dipping into the 30s or 40s °F. We suggest bringing layers so you can stay comfy throughout the day, especially something warm for the evening. Also, pack your outdoor gear like comfy shoes, hiking clothes, swimsuit or fishing gear - you’ll want to take in the gorgeous scenery while you’re here!
Wear whatever makes you feel good! Fancy, comfy, or somewhere in between - we’re just excited to celebrate with you. Also, Stanley can get pretty chilly, so be sure to check the weather and bring layers - think cozy sweaters and socks to stay warm as the evening cools down.
Unfortunately, there are no Ubers, cabs, or public transportation in or near Stanley. If you're flying in, you’ll definitely need a rental car to get around. If you're traveling to Idaho solo and/or are interested in sharing a rental car, reach out to Kayla or Josh to coordinate!
We’d love for you to join us Friday morning to make the most of your trip, but we understand work and travel might make that difficult. On the wedding day, we recommend arriving about 30 minutes before the ceremony to get settled and take in the beautiful surroundings. And if you’ve got time to spare, we hope you can stick around a little longer to explore and enjoy all the beauty the Sawtooth Mountains have to offer!
Fair question - Kayla actually asked Josh the EXACT same thing when they first met. Fast forward a few years, and it’s now one of her favorite places in the country. Yes, Idaho is known for its potatoes - but it’s also packed with mountains, rivers, hot springs, and more stars than you’ve ever seen. Come for the wedding, stay for the magic!
