Wedding Party

Allison Salinas

Bridesmaid

Al is Stevie's oldest friends, and used to be the craziest (never forget Al yelling HOLD MY HOOPS because someone talked trash. Incredible). Friends since high school, they have been through everything together and have seen all versions of each other. Al moved out to Arizona with Stevie in 2016 and they had non-stop adventures from out on the town to camping in isolation. She has since moved back to Ohio (breaking Stevie's heart) and has a husband, two little tots, and a white picket fence. Who woulda thought! They've come a long way from 4 Lokos and bare feet.

Alijah Sarno

Groomsman

Often referred to as S2 (son #2) by the Pickett household, Alijah has been friends with Austin from the beginning of time. These two young bucks love to throw on some spandex suits and ride bikes together, often times holding hands while they ride. Adorable. Honestly, Alijah and Stevie are probably better friends now by sharing a love of Taco Bell so deep it bonded them for life... but we'll let Alijah stand on Austin's side. Alijah and his wife Maddie, gave Austin and Stevie the honor of being godparents to their baby boy, who, if he can walk by then, will be the ring bearer! PS Alijah, hurry up and get a boat so we can use it.

Brooke Martin-Artrip

Bridesmaid

A random roommate from Freshman year at OSU, turned lifelong friend, Brooke is one of Stevie's longest friendships. From walking 3 miles across Columbus in 4 inch heels to get to the "Chit House" to getting a taxi ride from police officers; staying up all night baking brownies with the Lane Ave boys to stumbling down the Panama City Beach shores. Stevie will never forget the backpacking class they took together and the "2-person" tent they shared (Dan, you are a liar). Now, instead of literally stacking on top of each other to sleep, they get to support each other from states away and watch each other grow. (Spiritual) Roomies forever!

Liam Gorman

Groomsman

Liam and Austin met towards the end of their college years. Both being construction nerds and loving the taste of a cold drink in a (grossly) hot pool, they became friends fast. Liam’s drink, of course, consisted of a sangria with great legs, and Austin’s was whatever was free. They regularly take ski trips together and literally do not take breaks ever (which is great for Stevie so Liam can tire Austin out, or vice-versa). Stevie often catches Austin laying on the bed with his legs kicking in the air, giggling, while he texts Liam. Stevie is not worried about another woman stealing Austin, she is worried about Liam stealing Austin... Liam, Liam, Liaam, LIAAAMMMMM, Oh, I'm begging of you please don't take my man. (Original lyrics of Jolene)

Saira Din

Bridesmaid

Saira is a musical genius- in the way where she can find amazing artists and songs and always blesses Stevie with them. In fact, the mixed CD she made for Stevie is still in her car with absolute bangers on it. They'd be bopping to A Tribe Called Quest and Schoolboy Q at 6 am on the way to the library as if they weren't the whitest (in spirit) girls ever. Stevie can still smell the nachos from Ethyl and picture Sai sitting across from her while they (pretend) to do homework with a pitcher of Blue Moon. The friendship has continued throughout the years in large part by meeting up for concerts and shows around the country- a RICH life, shared together.

Danny Anderson

Groomsman

Dannnnnny. From frats bros to, well, still kinda frat bros (jk love you), Danny and Austin met during Austin's brief stint with Delta Sigma Phi. They lived together when Austin first moved back to Denver and still yearn for the days when the aroma of Pepper Asian Bistro would fill their home. From DIA conspiracy theories, to the hottest habanero tequila anyone has ever made, it's probably good for their health that they don't still live together. Stevie has tried to keep things at home as chaotic, fun, and spontaneous but no one does it quite like Danny Anderson does. Now, they live only 7 minutes apart, thankfully, with awesome partners and even better dogs.

Courtney Domaleski

Bridesmaid

Can't believe Courtney is on this list. Stevie was weirdly obsessed with Courtney within 15 minutes of meeting her at a lacrosse cabin trip up in Northern Arizona. Stevie went so far as to tell everyone at the cabin that she was going to make Courtney her best friend. Immediate weird red flag. Even Stevie admits she was a bit much... But cut to today, WHO WAS RIGHT HUH?! Here she is, in the bridal party, after several camping and B&B nights of bonding. The great thing about this friendship is that they can have the same conversation 15 times but they both have ADHD so it's brand new every time! Austin and Dave might not find this as great, but the girls love it.

Victor Nieto

Groomsman

The "old man" of the college friends, that you would think would've kept everyone in line, but did the exact opposite. Victor is one of Austin's best friends despite living on another continent and being several time zones apart. They also met in the Greek Life circle and were official brothers for a brief time, spiritual brothers for the rest of time! Known for his incredible ability to sleep at any given moment, let's say, kitchen counter, mid-party, Victor is nothing short of a great time. Although, he'd probably talk about various back pains or growing pains of an old man while inevitably still keeping up with the youngins all night. Victor has lived on several different continents but always says "home is where Austin is". That's a direct quote. Don't question it.

Amanda Tate

Bridesmaid

So, if you take the Courtney story, and swap it, that's what happened here. Stevie trained Amanda at their old job together and happened to be listening to really cool music and had a really cool outfit on, so Amanda decided "I'm going to be friends with her". Stevie was honored. It only took a couple of weeks for them to hang out outside of work and spent 24 hours straight together, immediately becoming BFFs. They have gone to shows together, had sleepovers, gone on hikes, road trips, anywhere the wind blows them. Every time they get to hang out now is just like the first, full of energy, excitement, and DrInKiEs!

Dax Fodor

Groomsman

Daxton is the reason for this wedding. Dax selflessly dated a wild woman way back when, who happened to be an old roommate of Stevie's. They introduced Austin and Stevie because they were both "tall and liked outdoor stuff". And it worked! Dax and Austin were friends far before he created the perfect match though. They gamed together, snuggled at night (Austin being the little spoon of course) even almost became parents to a nest of pigeons! Even though Dax likes to play hard to get now, every time they do get to see each other it's like no time has passed. Dax, stop playing with Austin's heart. Stop leaving him on read.

Christy Schrader

Bridesmaid

Christy gave Stevie her first sip of beer in a bar at 16 years old. That's right, arrest her! JK, Christy is Stevie's sister-in-law but they have known each other since dinosaurs walked the earth, so, 2007. They snuck into bars together and caused a ruckus but then Dan stole her for himself and moved her to Seattle. Christy lived in Phoenix for a year while Stevie did and that was a WILD time, to say the least. Endless PBRs later, Christy and Dan eventually moved back to Seattle. Stevie still gets to sneak in some time with her at family events, where they'll inevitably get in trouble for starting a Power Hour far too early in the day. Sisters that drink together, stay together!

JJ Wiener

Groomsman

Yes, that is his real last name. Yes, it is pronounced that way. JJ and Austin go way back to the gaming days with Dax. He was also part of the cuddle puddle and near pigeon parenting they experienced while roommates. Austin can still smell the sweet aroma of the Dominos downstairs after a long day of battles and beers. They've road tripped to Sedona, skied down the monstrous runs at Snowbowl, and bar crawled their way through AZ. Sadly, JJ lives all the way in Chicago now- but since becoming BFFs with Stevie, he's made a point to come to this side of the country and hang out more. Even though he's a cat guy, Austin is still happy he accepted this honorable position.

Sarah Schrader

Bridesmaid

Sarah is Stevie's neighbor, they've grown quite close over the years. Helping out with neighborly things. She is also her sister-in-law and best friend in Colorado but the neighbor thing is also cool. Stevie is very happy John picked someone so awesome to add to the family and absorbed her as a friend herself. Really helps since Dan took Christy so far away. Stevie loves how often Sarah takes down 9 hotdogs and 9 beers within 9 innings. It's almost weekly at this point! Hanging out with Sarah and John is literally just hanging with friends but somehow even more chaotic. Especially for people in their mid-to-late thirties (and Austin, who is somehow the most responsible of the bunch). SCOOT GANG 4 LYFE

Dan Schrader

Groomsman

Dan is the reason Austin and Stevie will live to be 120, probably. Always making sure they're taking care of their joints and getting enough protein- although he's also the first person to suggest a beer bong no matter the time of day. So it's probably a net-zero. Dan has two speeds; "I will not be near a carb and must spend the next 45 minutes stretching my knee" and absolute "Danimal". A Danimal, for those of you that don't know, can consume 20 beers in 10 minutes and still beat you at cornhole. He's who we all strive to be. Austin has made it a life goal to one day beat Dan at cornhole. He practices 6 days a week. It's taking a toll on the relationship.

Sam Pickett

Bridesmaid

Stevie was warned about the evils of Sam very early on into dating Austin. Turns out, Stevie really likes Sam and maybe Stevie is a little evil herself. Crusading for equal pay, women's health care, and basic human rights, they truly are pure evil together. Boys beware! Side note, Sam actually told Austin after meeting Stevie (who was very sweaty and nervous the whole time), that Stevie was the type of person she could see herself getting a beer with. What a win!! Can't wait to gossip about the next season of Love Is Blind, and the next one, and the next one, because they'll never stop making trash TV. Thank goodness.

John Schrader

Groomsman

A bully, a neighbor, and a soon to be brother-in-law. A friend too, supposedly. John and Austin hit it off right away when Austin purposely lost a game of beer pong to Sarah and Julie (future MIL) meanwhile, Stevie was throwing a temper tantrum on the ground for losing. People don't forget, Austin. People don't forget. Anyways! John. Always pushing Austin to be better, whether it's getting a new sauna, a new scooter, a hot tub, and vice versa. It is real life Keeping up with the Joneses but with actual happiness thrown in. You can tell by the photo above that John respects boundaries and never pushes Austin to drink beyond his means. That being said, there will never be a shortage of beers had on Jay Street between these two.

Rob Smaldino

Usher

Rob graciously took Stevie in for a Summer at OSU and just never got rid of her. They became super fast friends and when it was time for Stevie to move, it was luckily only 3 houses away. This worked well for her because she had a studio apartment and decided to be an honorary roommate to Rob and Colin the rest of that year! Lucky them! From Ski Club Socials at Midway, to Green Tea Shots at Ethyl; dollar fifty double wells at Out R Inn, to (regretfully) ending the night at Bulls, this friendship remained strong through it all! Long live Summer 2016!

Becca Rottersman

Usher

Becca and Austin became friends soon after starting at ASU. They've enjoyed some absolutely treacherous hikes (that are debatable if they'd do again now that their frontal lobes are fully formed), several ski trips (where they could've been nibbled to death by the basement dwelling mice), and several shows (that were definitely a great time and definitely not remembered fully). All the best ingredients for a lifelong friendship!

Marko Rajcevic

Usher

Marko and Stevie met the Summer she lived with Rob, because Marko also lived there but you wouldn't know it at the time. He stayed away from them that Summer and hung out in Cleveland (gross) but when he came back for fall semester he couldn't help but see what Rob saw in Stevie, a pile of chaos that could keep up with the boys at the pregame. He knew they'd be friends for life. They've since hung out in three different countries, four different states, and was one of the first people to celebrate Austin and Stevie's engagement with them in Sayulita!

Brooke Brunscher

Usher

Brooke is Austin's friend from ASU but she likes Stevie more now. Don't bother asking her about that, it's true, just leave it and move on. But anyway, she and Austin met at the same time as him and Becca and they were little buds all through college to present day! Also going on the treacherous hikes, ski trips, and shows, Brooke said while she loved their friendship and time in Arizona, she's even more excited for the adventures once she moves to Colorado (it's going to happen, stop fighting it).

Garrett Brown

Officiant

Garrett practically begged Stevie and Austin to officiate. They put him through a rigorous test to make sure he could handle the duties and not forget to exchange the rings like SOMEONE (Stevie, when she married Al and Quade...). Okay, JK, Garrett is leaps and bounds more responsible than Stevie and the husband/wife-to-be were very happy he accepted their request to officiate. Stevie knows Garrett from OSU, "friends" since Freshman year, but actual friends since Sophomore year. Stevie was convinced he hated her for the first year of their "friendship", only dealing with her because his roommate (shoutout to JC) liked Brooke. They've been to visit each other over the years and kept the friendship strong. Since Austin and Stevie moved in together, he's visited the most of any friend and everyone is pretty sure he likes Austin more than Stevie now. No big deal, Stevie is fine with it. Whatever.
