We are located on the Island of Hawaii (aka Big Island). The best airport to fly into is the Kona Airport (KOA). AirBnBs tend to be the more reasonably priced accommodation. We highly recommend renting a car. Uber/Lyft are virtually non-existent unless you order them in advance. There are a LOT of lava rocks here (not the white sandy beaches you see in movies). Just don't be alarmed when you arrive! That said, we highly recommend that you spend some time in the water. Kua Bay and Hapuna Beach are our favorites. In addition to that, Kona is one of two places in the WORLD where you can go on a manta ray night snorkel. Highly recommend checking that out along with a tour around the island to see the beautiful landscape and learn more about the history and culture. This island is such a sacred place and we can't wait for you to experience why Nya and Austin both randomly moved there on a whim. Nya moved 3 years ago after attending a friend's wedding and Austin moved 5 years ago after visiting his dad. Beware! You might get trapped, too!
