Transportation

In order of what we'd recommend most to least! This is a great YouTube video to watch that'll help get you from the airport to Downtown: https://tinyurl.com/35rxnmfe

Rental Car

https://tinyurl.com/zres72cr

This is your best travel option. Renting a car is recommended. It's simply the best way to get around in Ireland and do some exploring before or after our wedding! All the major rental car services are also in Dublin. A few tips if you plan on renting a car: -This ain't America, you don't want to be driving a huge SUV. Once you're out the city, the roads can get narrow! -You must specify an automatic if you can't drive manual (and don't forget, the stick will be on the left) -You'll be driving on the left side of the road! But you're an adult, you can handle it! (We used NewWay and found it easy and good!)

Bus

Dublin Express, AirCoach

Are you sure you don't want to rent a car? It really will be easier. OK, so you've decided NOT to rent a car. Arriving in Dublin Airport and want to explore Dublin before or after the wedding? Take the Dublin Express bus to various points of interest https://tinyurl.com/vdsrmn2a Looking to bypass Dublin and go straight from Dublin Airport to County Leitrim where the wedding is? You can do the whole thing on a bus. Book a ticket via Expressway here for a trip from Dublin Airport (terminal 2) to Carrick-On-Shannon (where the welcome drinks are on Monday) here: https://tinyurl.com/4s9p5pxd Want to take a bus out of the airport but then want to take the train west to Carrick-On-Shannon? You'll have to take a bus into Dublin and then a train into the west country. First: grab an Aircoach bus from Terminal 2 and take it into the Dublin Drumcondra Rd Lower station, (BOOK HERE: https://tinyurl.com/2n6t5yxx) then walk 2 mins to the Drumcondra Irish Rail station. See the Train tab for more information.

Train

IrishRail

https://tinyurl.com/3nbvk7uw OK, so you're trying to take the Train out west. So remember before in the bus section we talked about taking the AirCoach from the airport to Drumcondra station? From there, you need to take the InterCity train toward Sligo. If you're taking the train to Carrick-On-Shannon (the place where the welcome drinks are on Monday), just stay on the train until it reaches Carrick-On-Shannon. Upon arrival into Carrick you can either walk (21 minutes) into the city, or hop on the 567 Bus just outside the train station. It'll take you straight into the city. If you're trying to take the aforementioned InterCity toward Sligo train to Mohill and Lough Rynn Castle, you'll need to get off at Dromod. From there, there's no public transport to the castle. It's too far to walk, but you can call a cab here (https://tinyurl.com/2txcvnnj) or get someone to pick you up. Like I said, renting a car is your best option when traveling to Ireland.

Taxi

UBER, BOLT, Free Now

These are the top three! I have no experience using these in Ireland so your mileage may vary!
