Things to know as you're planning your trip.

Travel Note

The border

Dear Americans: We spent the early days of the pandemic doing daily 'US-Canada border restriction' checks as we were living in two different countries. In case that wasn't how you were spending your time, we thought we'd make sure you knew that all that is currently needed for US citizens and permanent residents to cross the border (by air or ground) is a passport. Hurray!

Where to Stay

If you're looking to stay overnight, check out one of the options on the list below. Toronto is a big place - the wedding is in the southeast end of the city, but there are plenty of awesome neighbourhoods to stay in if you're looking to spend the weekend. A reminder that August 5th is on a holiday weekend in Canada so make sure to book your accommodations as soon as you can!

Travel Note

Transit

Both Kew Gardens and Beach United Church are steps from the 501 Queen St streetcar. Yay public transit!

Travel Note

Parking

There is a parking lot (Green P) directly south of the church as well as a Green P lot at 85 Lee Avenue (bordering Kew Gardens). Metered street parking is available along Queen street, but may be tricky to find on a long weekend in the Beaches.
