We decided two months after the internet introduced us: Fiona: "So what's going on here?" Austin: "You mean with us?" Fiona: "Yeah, with us." Austin: "I mean, do you want to get married?" Fiona: "Yep." Austin: "Well, ok then." We went to the same protests and laughed at the same jokes. We cared about the same things, even if we got there in different ways. Fiona made up jingles to narrate most parts of the day. Austin had the weirdest taste in music. We were two peas in a pod. We lived in different countries, but we'd figure it out eventually. We signed the papers a few months later in preparation for the 'real wedding' we planned to throw in the summer. That was February 2020. Cue major world events. They say good things come to those who wait - or plan and postpone and plan and cancel and plan and postpone and plan again? Either way, we are happy, grateful, and so excited to finally be able to invite you to our wedding this August. It's been a long time coming and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
