Austin and Emma’s story began in August 2017, although they had been attending church together for quite some time before that. It was during a family movie night at Austin’s house that they really got to know each other. They quickly realized how much they enjoyed talking to each other and it was clear they had a connection.

Their first date was a double date at the drive-in where they watched Ghostbusters and Airplane. They laughed and talked through both films beginning to create memories that they would love to look back on. As they spent more time together, they discovered their shared passion for music and ministry and were soon in a worship band that led worship at their youth group. Every moment spent together brought them closer.

Since that day in September of 2017 when Austin asked Emma to be his girlfriend, they have celebrated many milestones together. From traveling to beautiful places like New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Tennessee, and New York to supporting each other through graduations—Emma cheering Austin on as he graduated from high school, college, and the police academy, and Austin proudly watching Emma’s high school and college graduation. Through these years, they have grown not only as individuals but also as partners. They have helped each other navigate adulthood while deepening their relationship with Christ. Every challenge they faced has strengthened their bond.

The proposal was a beautifully orchestrated moment by Austin and Emma’s best friend Claire. After picking out the perfect ring, Austin and Claire planned a photoshoot at Yellow Rock lookout in Devil's Den State Park in Arkansas. As Claire took photos of them, Austin asked for a few solo shots of Emma for his phone background. When Emma turned around from posing for one last picture overlooking the view, she found Austin down on one knee, ready to ask her to be his forever. It was a moment filled with love and joy and one they will cherish forever.

As they look toward the future, they are filled with excitement for the unknown adventures that await them. No matter where life takes them, what matters most is that they will face it together. They share dreams of growing in their careers—Emma pursuing her passion in fashion while Austin dedicates himself to protecting his community as a police officer. Above all, they are committed to cheering each other on every step of the way.
