If you have time to make a trip up here we HIGHLY recommend it. You do need reservations though and they book quite a ways out. Sometimes spots will open up last minute as well though!!
This is one of our favorite places to take a little hike. Lower Hulls Gulch is beautiful in the spring when the river is running, but it does do a “downhill bikes on odd days, hiking ect on even” split so make sure you know what day it is. The nature trail up the road further is also wonderful and is for hiking only which is great! Check out the website for a full list of the amazing trails and current updates!
Also another one of our favorite places to hike! This area will probably be covered in blooming cornflower around the time of the wedding and it’s so beautiful!! There’s a whole bunch of intersecting trails so you can walk as far as you want.
The Greenbelt is a gorgeous 25 mile long park/path that runs from Eagle through Boise. A lot of local hotels will have bikes you can take out if you want to ride down the path. You can also fish along the river, or find a nice spot and enjoy a little picnic lunch! There is also a mini “white water park” at Esther Simplot where you can watch people kayak ect.
This is a fun golf course right in the foothills. Austin golfs, but if that’s not your thing I can still definitely recommend driving the golf cart around while drinking Bloody Mary’s and enjoying the scenery!
A good local brewery! I recommend the pretzel and the cheese curds!
A lovely Italian restaurant downtown, you definitely want to make reservations here!
Sister restaurant to Alavita, this place really focuses on local food purveyors.
Ethiopian food will always hold a dear spot in my heart, and while this restaurant may not be Negussie’s (for those of you in the know from Denver 😜) I still very much recommend checking them out and supporting this wonderful family! Some of our favorite dishes are the Kae-Wot (Zigni), Kik Alicha, and Tikel Gomen.
Great breakfast spot! I love doing brunch with the girls here!
Super fun place to check out! I recommend grabbing a few bites from here and then taking them down to the green belt and having a picnic!
One of the first Distillery pubs in the country this place is a great spot for an easy bite and a fun cocktail. Also the sister restaurant to where I work at Coynes!
This is a fabulous little cafe! Try the Benedict and the Keith Richard’s!
Probably our favorite breakfast to-go place, try the certified breakfast sandwich on probably the best English muffins ever!
If you have the time check out some Idaho wineries!
