What is the weather like?

Answer

Early May in VT is beautiful, usually with temperatures low-mid 60's during the day and cools off slightly at night. A light sweater would be a good idea for the evening if planning to be outside at all.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We only have a room block at Barrows House in Dorset, which offers a shuttle to/from the venue (5 minute drive). Dorset Inn is another hotel across road and offers the same shuttle to/from the venue. Aspen at Manchester is a hotel in Manchester Center that is 15 minutes from the venue, but does not offer a shuttle.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels?

Answer

There is a shuttle that will bring guests to and from the venue, but unfortunately is only limited to guests staying at the Barrow's House Inn or the Dorset Inn. Also, ride share services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) are basically nonexistent in this area, so please plan accordingly.

Is the event indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The cocktail hour will be mostly outdoor, with some indoor space as well- weather dependent of course. The reception will be indoors with the large barn doors open for easy access to lawn games and fire pits right outside.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are strongly encouraging the idea of a Mom & Dad's night out- to be able to fully enjoy yourselves throughout the night. But, if this would impede your ability to attend or if you would prefer to bring your child, please let us know.

Can I take photos during or record the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony and kindly ask that all of our guests keep electronic devices silenced and put away. We would like for everyone to be present with us during this special time & allow the professional photographers to work their magic.
