The Wedding Website of Gregory Austen and Katriina Campitelli
The University Club dates back to 1906 when a group of recent graduates from the University of Toronto decided that the existing gentlemen’s clubs of the day were too staid for their tastes. They decided to create a social club of their own, eventually moving to University Avenue in 1929. The Group of Seven’s Lawren Harris was a founding member of the University Club. The Group of Seven is best known for paintings inspired by the Canadian landscape, initiating the first major Canadian national art movement. Harris arranged for the UCT to display artworks of the Group of Seven throughout this building. LOCATION The University Club is located at 380 University Avenue in downtown Toronto. The closest major intersection is University Ave. and Dundas St W.

Parking

We would hate it if you drove after a drink or two. If you're the designated driver, there is a nearby parking lot at 206 Simcoe Street (5 minute walk).
