FAQs

Question

I received an invitation by mail or text, but I’m not on the guest list. What do I do?

Answer

We probably missed a few people while compiling the Guest list. This list is just to get a head count so we can order enough food. If your name is missing, or the name of your partner or child, please message AunJelle so she can add you (806-663-9300), then you can RSVP for your entire party and we’ll have food for you. Thanks!

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding and reception?

Answer

The basic answer is wear what is comfortable for you or Sunday best. The wedding and reception are at the church and church hall, so don’t feel the need to wear anything fancy, cocktail, or formal. We care a lot more that you’re present than what you’re wearing. If you want to coordinate with a color palette, we’re doing a scheme AunJelle describes as “a tasteful medieval tapestry of color with antique reds, clear blues, lively greens, earth tones, and lots of greenery and plants. There’s a medieval/historical vibe, so feel free to wear your long elegant dresses, fairy wings, elvish jewelry, or just your Sunday best, or whatever you feel good in.” ❤️

Question

I need a chair for the wedding, but I’m worried I won’t be able to sit. What can I do?

Answer

Please message us at least a few days before the wedding so we can make sure we have enough chairs. We’ll make sure those that are elderly or have medical conditions are taken care of. The church is small and chairs are being brought in for a few family members, but anticipate being able to stand for about an hour. Wear comfortable shoes ❤️

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction. Do I have to bring my own food?

Answer

We will not stop you if you’d like to bring food you enjoy, BUT we will definitely have things you can eat. As the bride has a food allergy, we are conscious of different food needs. There is a question on your RSVP about allergies and restrictions. Please let us know how we can accommodate you. Allergy friendly foods will have a separate table away from the main table to avoid cross-contamination and everything will be labeled with ingredients and the diet it’s good for (e.g. gluten free). It is possible to cook and package foods in closed containers for extra safety.

Question

Is there a Pinterest board I can see?

Answer

Of course 😎 https://pin.it/51UFpo78o The actual thing will be much more low key, but AunJelle just really liked the moody medieval vibe of these images.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We will be ordering food at the end of September. Please have your confirmation in by Sept. 28th. The earlier the better, though!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony, and how long will the reception go?

Answer

The goal is to start at 3, but the church will fill up pretty quickly. Aim for 15-30 minutes early. The reception should last into the evening with food and socializing. You are welcome to stay until we start to wrap up and wave the newlyweds off, or don’t be afraid to hug them goodbye early if you have to travel.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The church had a small parking lot, and the Hall had a small lot behind the building that people are welcome to use. Otherwise there is street parking in several directions. If you need help, we have several young men and women who can help with parking and retrieving cars for guests who can’t walk very far. Don’t hesitate to ask.
