Our Wedding

John and Megan’s life together began in January 2022, when they met during a friend’s birthday weekend celebration in North Conway. That weekend, it felt almost instantaneous—John and Megan quickly fell for each other. By the time the weekend wrapped up, John already had plans to ask Megan out on their first date. Meanwhile, Megan shared stories from the trip with her mom, Sue, who exclaimed, “I just had a feeling you were going to meet someone this weekend!” Their first date was at Hunter’s in South Boston, and from there, their relationship continued to grow as they spent more time together and introduced each other to their friends. It wasn’t long before John asked Megan to be his girlfriend after the Southie St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 20, 2022. Over the years, Megan and John have shared countless adventures. From nights out in Boston with friends and hiking 4,000-footers, to beach days, a trip to the Outer Banks with the Danvers crew, weekend getaways to Kennebunkport with John’s cousins, and day trips skiing—they always have a blast together. Their first big trip took them to Mallorca, Nice, and Copenhagen, creating memories they’ll treasure forever. Megan and John officially began their life together when they moved to East Boston, where they enjoyed waterfront walks, new favorite restaurants, and making their home cozy side by side. East Boston truly became home in January 2025, when they purchased their first home together. Megan always knew John was the one, and on March 22, 2025, she experienced one of the greatest days of her life when John got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Unable to imagine life any other way, Megan’s response was, “Do I say yes?”—because the answer felt so obvious. The unforgettable moment was beautifully captured by Megan’s sister Lauren, the most talented photographer ever, as John proposed at Piers Park in East Boston. In September 2025, Megan and John welcomed their golden retriever puppy, Maverick into their lives. From the moment he came home, Maverick filled their lives with endless joy, laughter, and plenty of puppy cuddles, making their home feel even more complete. Now, as their wedding day approaches, John and Megan couldn’t be more excited to celebrate their love and the life they’ve built together, surrounded by the family and friends who mean the most to them.
