Flight

Seattle–Tacoma International Airport

If you are flying in to Seattle, the closest airport to Ashford will be SEA-TAC. Pro tip: if traveling east to west, seats on the right side of the plane are most likely to have awesome views of Mt. Rainier and even the North Cascades as you descend into Seattle. But with Puget Sound and Olympic National Park on the other side, you really can't go wrong. Cue the celebratory mini pretzels!

Rental Car

Turo

You are of course welcome to rent a car from anywhere, but Turo is a great alternative to the classic rental companies. Prices are usually more affordable, and most cars have an airport pickup/dropoff option. For those driving an electric vehicle, four NEMA 14-50 charging ports will be available in the Wellspring parking lot; please be sure to bring your own charging cord and any necessary adapter. From SEA-TAC airport, it is a ~1.5 hour drive to Wellspring. Roll down your windows, crank up the tunes, and (please) try not to drive off the road while admiring the views along the way. From Wellspring, the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park is just 6 minutes down the road.

Wellspring Spa and Woodland Retreat

Our home for the weekend! We've rented out the entire property, and we invite those who are able to explore the entire grounds. Enjoy your morning coffee along one of the short walking trails; contemplate something profound in the meditation labyrinth (like perhaps how to spell labyrinth...not as easy as it looks); or ease your travel tension in one of two outdoor hot tubs. We can't wait to share this special place with you!

Packing List

Our cabins at Wellspring will include bedding, towels, flashlights, and drip coffee makers. Along with your own personal essentials like toothbrushes, medications, and your face routine liquids, please also consider bringing: - A reusable water bottle - Hiking boots - Sunscreen and bug spray. We will also bring a few extras. - Bathing suit - National Parks pass, if you have one (click "View" below for more info) - For those driving electric vehicles: charging cord and any necessary adapter (see "Turo" section above) - A good book. WiFi is available in the Gazebo only, and cellular service may be spotty. - Your sense of adventure!
