Unfortunately, neither of us can remember when we first met (how about that for a meet-cute?!) but it's clear that both William & Mary and the Educe Group brought us together. Pat graduated from William & Mary in 2012 and became Educe's first straight-from-college hire. 4 years later, I graduated from William & Mary and followed the same path from Williamsburg up to DC to start at Educe. I knew Pat was special as soon as we began working on a project together. After incessant snapchats and pings on Skype, he finally took the hint. We went on our first date at Perry's in Adams Morgan in early 2017.

After telling my parents about my plan to propose to Audrey during Christmas vacation of 2019, I booked a getaway weekend for us at the Inn at Little Washington for June. I thought about proposing there, but knew she would be suspicious of a surprise vacation. During Covid, we started taking tons of walks around DC and often found ourselves in Meridian Hill Park. After asking Callie and Kali to hide nearby and snap photos, I led Audrey to the park on a walk after work. Audrey claims she suspected something was up when I swiftly directed her to a specific spot, but in the end it went off without a hitch!
