By default, this is our favorite Michigan State Park. It is home to the oldest aquarium in the country and a beautiful newly renovated conservatory. We recommend checking out both!
Detroit Institute of Arts
The DIA is a must visit if you are traveling to Detroit for the weekend. Following admiring the art, we recommend swinging by Kresge Court for delicious eats and ambiance!
James Oliver Coffee
Post wedding hangover? With a variety of bagel and cream cheese options, there's a bagel for everyone. If you were to ask Huston, he would suggest the jalapeno bagel with goat cheese + honey cream cheese. Audrey would suggest different with the black sesame garlic with caramelized onion cream cheese.
Lafayette Coney Island
Our favorite spot for a lunchtime and late-night bite. We recommend getting your chili cheese fries coney style (+ mustard and onion)!
La Pecora Nera
If you're looking for the best sandwich in the city, La Pecora Nera is the place. Huston's go to is the Napa Club and Audrey's go to is the Turkey Bella Sub, extra aioli.
Michigan Central
This is where she said "YES!". Michigan Central is open and free to visit daily. We recommend checking out The Library for beautiful architecture followed by donuts at Yellow Light, MC's very own coffee shop.
Nemo's Bar
Feeling a pre-wedding spritz? Nemo's is our favorite home town, dive bar with quick service and cheap drinks. After enjoying happy hour, you can *literally* walk across the street to our wedding and continue the party!
SPKRBOX
Our favorite spot downtown for coffee and live techno music. Huston's go to is a dirty chai latte and Audrey's is a vanilla latte, however the espresso martinis never disappoint!
