Stay near the action: We know that some of our guests will be excited to explore everything the wonderful downtown district of Charleston has to offer while visiting for our wedding! If you are interested in staying near the hustle and bustle of our favorite city we recommend The Charleston Place Hotel or The Mills House Hotel Stay near the venue: For those of our guests who may just be popping in for our wedding festivities, or prioritize proximity to the venue while staying in Charleston, we recommend The Francis Marion Hotel.
Travel Note
We have two hotel blocks in downtown Charleston, where our venue is located. Each block has 10 rooms with discounted rates and are first come first serve. The Francis Marion hotel is a bit further “uptown” and has a closer proximity to our venue. It is about a 3/4 mile walk from “the happening” parts of downtown where we encourage you all to explore during your time in CHS, should you decide to extend your time in CHS beyond our wedding festivities. The second choice, Fulton Lane, is a few blocks south, closer to Broad which would put you about three blocks from the hustle and bustle of downtown CHS and about 3/4 mile walk or uber ride to the venue come Thursday for the wedding. Travel Note
There are many modes of transportation in Charleston that will allow you to get from point A to point B with ease. When staying in downtown, Connor and I always walk around or Uber from place to place, as everything is very accessible. However, there are options to rent a car from the airport, rent a car from a Charleston local via Turo (https://turo.com), rent a bike (some are even supplied by your hotel), or ride the bus!
Flight
If guests are choosing to fly, flying into the Charleston International Airport will be the most convenient and efficient option. It is located approximately 12 miles northwest of downtown Charleston and is on average a 15-20 minute drive. Connor and I have always Ubered to and from the airport, but please look into rental cars if they are a better fit for your party and/or travel plans! Additionally, please keep in mind that booking your flight sooner rather than later may help avoid any price increase on tickets.
