The Getty Villa Museum
Greek and Roman antiquities housed in a recreated Roman country home. The standout feature of this museum is its beautifully landscaped grounds. Admission is free with a timed-entry reservation.
Hidden Treasures
If you like weird thrift stores, this is your place. It's so Topanga. It's bigger on the inside. Around every corner is a new room of, well, hidden treasures. I can't explain, you just have to experience it for yourself.
Topanga Lookout Trailhead
Topanga State Park is known for its hiking!
The Beach Bus
If you're feeling really enterprising, there is a $1 bus that travels from Woodland Hills up north, through Topanga Canyon, down to the beaches of Santa Monica, and returns around dinner time. This probably shouldn't be your transportation on the wedding day, but maybe you want to explore while you're in town.
Santa Monica Pier
A classic. This is where we ended our 3,000-mile road trip to move Aubrey from New York to LA - it's the "official" end of Route 66. The historic pier still offers carnival rides and games, or you can just walk out to the end and watch the fishermen. Bring a jacket - it gets windy out there!

Renaissance Pleasure Faire
The original Renaissance Faire! Saturdays and Sundays in April and May. Dress in your finest garb, watch exciting jousts and comical music performances, learn historical tidbits, and drink mead. (Please don’t go on Saturday.)
