Aubrey met Jinney during their sophomore year of college when she had just transferred to UTA. Jinney became a sister through the music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota and became closer to Aubrey by performing in the opera The Magic Flute together. Since then they’ve helped each other survive music school, bonded over their love for Taylor Swift, sung in choirs together, travelled to Colorado, Houston, and San Antonio, been to multiple concerts together, stood out in the pouring rain for Taylor Swift merch together, and Jinney even went with Aubrey to the ER on one of their trips! She’s seen it all and still stays a constant friend to Aubrey through thick and thin. She’s a sister from another mister and Aubrey couldn’t ask for a better matron of honor.

Alexander Evans

Best Man

Aaron first met Alex when they were both interviewing for Aircraft Dispatcher positions at Envoy Air. They happened to test and interview on the same day and became casual acquaintances. Then, Alex and Aaron were both moved up from the April dispatch class to the January class, and became fast friends after recognizing each other from the interview. Now, Alex, Mitch, and Aaron all regularly play Helldivers 2 together, when not working early morning dispatch shifts at Envoy. They also floated the San Marcos river down in Austin and enjoyed quality BBQ together. Alex is lighthearted, hilarious, and a one of the most encouraging people you could ever meet.

Ariel Hernandez

Maid of Honor

Aubrey met Ariel her sophomore year of college when she had just transferred to UTA. Aubrey thought this girl is so cool I want to be her friend. Somehow Ariel wanted to be her friend too and became Aubrey’s big sister in their music fraternity Sigma Aloha Iota. From then on they’ve sung in choirs together, performed in operas The Magic Flute and Pirates of Penzance together, helped each other survive music school, laughed a whole lot, travelled to Colorado and San Antonio, been to multiple concerts together and are now helping each other survive being elementary music teachers. Ariel has been a constant friend through it all to Aubrey and is like a sister to her. She is lucky to have Ariel as her maid of honor.

Mitchell Griesbaum

Groomsman

Aaron met Mitch when he was lucky enough to be assigned to be trained by him at Envoy Air. They instantly hit it off, likely because of similar philosophical outlooks, as well as a similar sense of humor. Mitch is an experienced Aircraft Dispatcher and pilot. He hails from the Chicago suburbs. Mitch has been a source of wisdom and professional mentorship for Aaron, and is a genuinely good-hearted, down to Earth person.

Reid Dahmer

Bridesmaid

Reid and Aubrey met each other as Tri Delta initiates back in 2018. They lived in the same dorm, but only became close friends while living in the Tri Delta house together. They eventually became roommates for one year which was one of Aubrey’s favorite years in Tri Delt. Reid has been a loyal friend to Aubrey through so much and is always there for a good laugh or cry. They enjoy nights out on the town, taking pictures, have been to Austin together, and even seen Ed Sheeran together. Aubrey is ecstatic for Reid to be her bridesmaid! It’s like all the things they would talk late at night about at the Tri Delt house house are coming true!!

Jared Gatlin

Groomsman

Because Aubrey and Jinney became fast friends, Aaron was lucky enough to meet Jared, her boyfriend at the time. In a quickly cohering friend group, Jared and Aaron bonded over a shared love of video games and board games. Jared works as a Computer Scientist, and is both intelligent and amusing. He is the father to two cats, Oreo and Maple, demonstrating both his patience,and selflessness.

Athena Bonner

Bridesmaid

Athena is one of Aubrey’s Tri Delta sisters! They met during spring recruitment when Athena was a potential new member and instantly clicked. Athena’s vibe was so cool and easy going that she had to be in Tri Delt! Now Athena lives steps away from Aubrey and Aaron at their apartment complex. Which is lucky for Aubrey because Athena is the best chef and host ever! They bond over their love of going to Trader Joe’s, Costco, and hunting for Anthropologie cups and vintage bookshelf board games. Athena has been there for Aubrey especially when Aaron was in Utah and made sure she was never lonely. Aubrey is so thankful for Athena to be her bridesmaid!!

Adrian Balansay

Aubrey met Adrian on her first day of music theory class during sophomore year at UTA. From then on they survived multiple music classes together, were choir members together, and often hung out at Starbucks working on homework together. Adrian has been there for Aubrey since then and has become a close friend to Aaron as well. They are so excited for him to officiate their wedding and couldn’t think of a better person to help them tie the knot!
