On a good day, it takes about 4.5 hrs to drive from the GWB to Cape Ann. However, please keep in mind you will likely be traveling on a Friday in the summer to a popular vacation spot, so traffic can get very heavy. We advise you plan on 5-6 hours of travel time if you are driving, just to be safe.
We will have some light fare to snack on at the Welcome Party, but we advise you eat dinner beforehand. For some of our favorite restaurants in the area, check our "Things To Do" page.
We will try our best to provide transportation to and from the wedding on Saturday from the hotels listed on the Travel page. We will have more information regarding transportation once guests start booking their rooms. There will not be transportation provided to the Welcome Party on Friday or Brunch on Sunday.
Due to space limitations at the Emerson Inn, we will not be having a formal sit down dinner. However, you should still bring your appetite to the wedding! We will have several food stations and passed foods served throughout the entire evening. Worried about giving your feet a rest from all that dancing? Don't worry, there will be tables and chairs available in the dining room, on the porch, and on the lawn for anyone interested.
