The Monon Trail is a rail trail that runs right by the Hotel Broad Ripple. It's a great place to take a jog, or just walk down the trail to get ice cream at BRICS.

Located just north of Rick's Cafe Boatyard, Eagle Creek Park is a nature reserve and the largest park in Indy, with 10 miles of trails. It has also been the site of several NCAA Rowing Championships.
If you'd like to venture downtown (and see where Jenny works), you can check out the Hall of Champions. While you're there, you can take a stroll on the downtown canal and visit the nearby zoo.
Newfields is the Indianapolis art museum, also known for its beautiful grounds.
Mass Ave is a part of downtown filled with great restaurants and bars.
