Just a 15 minute ferry ride across Big Bay from downtown San Diego, Coronado Island is a must see! Coronado Island is home to the picture perfect white sand beaches and Hotel Del Coronado. We love to rent E-bikes here and ride along the picturesque beachfront paths!
San Diego is a fantastic destination for whale watching! Blue whale are often seen off the coast of San Diego from June-September. Pods of Orcas were even spotted this past year! Every time we have gone, we are not disappointed!
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is situated along the coast line. It is known for its rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and rare Torrey pine trees. There are numerous scenic hiking trails and one can even hike down to the beach. Torrey Pines was one of the first places we visited after moving to San Diego!
Known as home to many sea lions and seals, La Jolla Cove is the perfect place to visit! The Coastal Trial will take you along the cliff while not keeping you too far from downtown La Jolla. If you are adventurous, you can rent kayaks to explore the cove and sea caves up close. La Jolla Cove is our favorite place to watch the sunset!
