We met in February 2014 through a mutual friend, and just ten days later, Jonas asked me to be his girlfriend. The rest is history… well, almost. In May 2016, he proposed, and by December 8, 2016, we were married in an intimate elopement in Maui, Hawaii. It was our own little “shotgun wedding,” since we were already expecting our first baby boy. Looking back, it was the perfect way to begin our life together. Since then, life has been full in the best possible way. We now have two amazing boys, Kaden and Ander, who mean everything to us. Between raising our family and all the adventures we have shared, our love has only grown stronger over the years. As we approach ten years of marriage in December 2026, we want to celebrate this milestone with the people who have been part of our journey. Renewing our vows is not just a ceremony for us. It is a moment to gather, to celebrate, and to honor how far we have come. We chose to celebrate in the Philippines, a place close to our hearts and deeply woven into our family’s story. It’s a chance for our loved ones to experience a piece of Athena’s roots, share in our culture, and create new memories together in a place that feels profoundly meaningful to us.
