Our story begins like many others, on a college campus in Philadelphia with two kids that had no idea what was in store. November 15th 2019 was just supposed to be a chance for us to make new friends through our respective Bollywood dance teams. Little did we know by the end of that night, we would have found our forever dance partner! Our first date was filled with bubble tea, pizza and long conversations, the first of many! We officially started dating on January 13th 2020 just before the world conveniently shut down. Thank god for six feet apart dates and Netflix parties that helped us get through over 6 months of social distancing. Just as we had left campus (dancing) we re-entered it the same way except this time on the same dance team. Our weekends were filled with traveling to different states for competitions together and lifelong memories with our closest friends. This is where our love for traveling together was born. Graduation started creeping around the corner in summer of 2022, with Atharva starting medical school and Salonie starting physician assistant school that fall! Even through long distance, we were always each others #1 supporters. From board exams to clinical rotations, we cheered each other along the way. We became a family with the addition of our two fur babies Sher and Simba in June of 2024. They became our little best friends and lifted our spirits through long study days and weekends away from our family and friends. Mans best friend may be dogs, but for us its our two kittens <3 After finishing another long year of school, it was time for us to do our favorite thing together…travel! We packed our bags (way too many of them) and took off to Europe. Our days were filled with croissants, sightseeing and a lot of British accent impersonation (mainly by Salonie). On a beautiful sunny day in Paris, Atharva proposed on December 26th 2024. And the rest is history :) We truly appreciate all of your love and support over the last five years and are so grateful to give you all a weekend of fun, food, dancing, and drinks - which hopefully none of us will ever forget. ~ S&A
