Manhattan, Spring 2016. After matching on the dating app OkCupid, Lisa and Zack enjoyed several NYC adventures together. Drinks at The Daisy, a picnic in Central Park, standing-room only at Brandy's Piano Bar. After a few weeks, though, they were faced with reality: Zack was relocating to St. Pete, Florida for a new job. But where most budding relationships see the end of the road, Lisa and Zack saw its beginning. Lisa said yes to Zack's invitation to drive down the coast together in a 15-foot U-Haul. They were off! 1,200 miles and countless Spotify sing-alongs later, Lisa and Zack were truly falling for each other. Zack now settled in St. Pete, Lisa made a move of her own to San Francisco, but the distance never fazed these two. And finally, after months of long-distance romance, Lisa returned to Florida in May 2017 to be with Zack - for good.
Big Sur, Spring 2018. Lisa and Zack had been planning a Pacific Coast Highway road trip for several months. Zack suggested that they fly into LAX, drive up the coast in a convertible (stopping in Lisa's hometown of Pismo Beach), and end in San Francisco to see her parents, followed by a weekend in Lake Tahoe with friends. A few weeks before the trip, Zack mentioned that he wanted to purchase a tripod for picture-taking along the way (because selfies weren't going to cut it!). Fast forward to a roadside vista in Big Sur, and Zack expertly planted the tripod for photos. With the perfect backdrop of the Bixby Bridge, swoon-worthy ocean views, and a clear blue sky, Zack popped the question to which he received an enthusiastic YES! Proof is in the photo below :)
