By what date should I confirm my attendance?

Kindly RSVP by April 1, 2026 so we can ensure every detail is thoughtfully prepared for your presence on our special day.

What time will the ceremony begin?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm, please plan to arrive on time.

Question

I am flying from out of town. Would you recommend a rental car?

Answer

Sacramento International Airport is about 15–20 minutes from Embassy Suites by Hilton Sacramento Riverfront Promenade, and the hotel is about 25–30 minutes from Lakeview Estates and Winery. Please contact the hotel for parking rates. If you’d like flexibility to explore and move around freely, we recommend renting a car. Otherwise, Uber and Lyft are convenient options for getting around.

What venue policies should guests be aware of during the event?

Answer

Our wedding is being held at an private venue with strict policies that must be respected by all guests. Outside alcohol and cannabis are not permitted anywhere on the premises. This policy is strictly enforced by the venue, and any violation may result in the immediate termination of our wedding. We kindly ask all guests to honor these rules so we can celebrate together without interruption.

Can I bring a date? or a guest that was not on named on my invitation?

Answer

Due to limited space, we will only be accommodating guests whose names are listed on the invitation. Please do not bring uninvited guests. We simply CANNOT accommodate any more guests that the ones we invited. This includes babies, children, partners, family members and people we have never met.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. We want you to look your best but also feel comfortable! To our Habesha guests, traditional outfits are encouraged. We’re excited to see you dressed to impress!

Are kids/babies welcome?

Answer

We’re having an adult-only event, with the exception of immediate family.

Are there any other events that I should know about surrounding the wedding?

Answer

On the evening of Sunday, June 21st, we’ll be hosting a welcome party! The Embassy Suites and the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel are both in downtown Sacramento and very close to each other, roughly 0.4–0.6 miles apart, which is about a 7–12 minute walk or just a quick 2–4 minute ride by Uber/Lyft around downtown. Where are you registered for gifts?

Answer

We have all of the things we need for now! However, we would love nothing more than to celebrate our love by taking a vacation! Check out our wedding registry page to donate to our honey fund for our honeymoon!

Why is your wedding on a Monday?

Answer

We chose Monday because it allowed us to invite everyone we love. But also, because we wanted to!
