Let's Celebrate Love

Picture it! It's the HOTQUEERSUMMER of 2021. Roza is scrolling on Instagram when she stumbles upon Astin’s page. Something about her page drew Roza in, and she felt bold enough to hit follow. After a week of exchanging likes and hearting stories, she finally slid into the DMs of the woman who would one day become her wife. They hit it off with conversations that felt like a rom-com script, sprinkled with flirting and late-night texts that made next-day productivity a struggle. Roza thinks she’s found her partner in crime, UNTIL things take a turn... Astin catches her off guard, with the, “Can we just be friends? I’m in my last year of grad school and don’t think I’ll have the capacity for more.” Roza was a bit salty and wasn’t interested in just being friends, so she told Astin she wasn’t looking for any more friends. They said goodbye with lots of well wishes and went on their way. But a few days later, Roza couldn't let her go. She had a change of heart and hit Astin back with, “Actualllyy… more friends wouldn’t hurt.” And so “friends” they were... sort of. A couple of months of confusing “not-quite-friends-but-not-quite-dating” passed before Astin finally asked, “What are we?” Roza didn’t hesitate and asked Astin to be her girlfriend then BOOM! They officially leveled up. Once they officially became girlfriends, things got even sweeter than the frosting on the cupcakes you will have at this wedding. They did long distance for about a year, trading weekend visits, late-night calls, and long drives between Santa Clara and Sacramento. They made the most of every moment together, traveling when they could, trying new things, and always keeping each other laughing. When the time finally felt right, Roza moved from the Bay to Sacramento to be with Astin, and life together just made sense. Fast forward to the summer of 2024, and their story took a beautiful turn as they each planned a proposal, unknowingly just three weeks apart. Astin proposed to Roza in San Diego on July 21st, overlooking a beautiful sunset, and they celebrated afterward with loved ones. A few weeks later, Roza proposed to Astin, coordinating a scavenger hunt with close friends that led through locations significant to their love story. Now Astin and Roza's home is filled with love, joy and game nights shared with their cat-son, Charlie, and their dog-hter, Stella. What started as a DM, became the best love stories for these two lovebirds. We couldn’t be more excited to have you join the fun. See y'all at the wedding!
