Is there lodging available?

Answer

There is lodging available. However, lodging availability will be based on RSVPs. It is limited, so please let us know if you are coming as soon as you know.

Are there restaurants or grocery stores nearby?

Answer

Sugar Hollow is pretty remote, which is why we love it :) However, there is a Dollar General about 15 minutes down the road. It has your basic grocery items. Just a 25 minute drive to Boone, NC will give you anything you need (Walmart, Publix, Lowes, etc.). There are a few restaurants in and around Butler, and a ton of great options in Boone, Elizabethton, Johnson City, and Blowing Rock. Check out our Things to Do page for all of our suggestions!

How are the roads on the property?

Answer

Our roads are crushed concrete. With that being said, if it rains a lot, they can sometimes be rustic ;) If you have the option to rent a 4WD vehicle, or you have one and are driving, try to do so. You don't NEED 4WD, but it will help! Also, there is a reason the speed limits are so slow up here. I know us Texans are used to speeding on the highways, but our winding roads make that difficult. Drive slow and safe.

How is the cell service on the property?

Answer

Almost non-existent. However, we have wifi in every house, lodge, and our event center.
