It all started in high school math class, because apparently, numbers do add up after all. We were friends for a few years before we officially started dating during our senior year of high school. What began as an easy friendship, slowly turned into something more, and somehow, we never got sick of each other. We both went to Washington State University after graduation (Go Cougs!). We survived college and made some of our favorite memories together, endless studying (for mainly Ashton), game days, celebrating milestones and everything in between. After college, we did a short stint of long distance. We began what we thought would be a calm, responsible adult life. Instead, we slowly accumulated a small zoo. During that time, Ashton adopted his childhood cat, Lelo. But Lelo obviously needed a friend, so along came Oreo. Meanwhile, Juanita was living on her own and decided she needed a companion too, so Harley came into her life. When we finally moved in together, we officially became a family of five... two humans and three very opnionated pets. Not long after, we bought our first home together, a place that quickly filled with love, laughter and fur. And then, as if we didn't already have our hands full, Nilla joined the crew, completing our perfect mini zoo family. Ashton proposed to Juanita during a trip to Cannon Beach with the dogs. One morning, walking along the beach, Ashton suggested they take a self-timer picture. When Juanita walked over to check it, she notice something unexpected: Ashton holding a ring in the photo. Juanita turned around and there he was, down on one knee, ocean and dogs behind him. It was simple, heartfelt and completely us. From math class to long distance, from our first apartment to our first home, we've grown side by side. We're grateful of every chapter that brought us here and we can't wait to start this next one as husband and wife, surrounded by the people we love most!
