Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Ashlynn Harrison and Eric Garcia
We love Oakland so much, and we know you will too! These are some of our favorite places to eat or visit. We'll include come options in San Francisco as well, if you're headed city side. If you’re looking for something in particular that isn’t on this list, let us know! Odds are it exists somewhere in the Bay Area.
Lake Merritt

Lake Merritt

Oakland, CA

We feel so fortunate to live within a few blocks of the lake, and we try to take advantage of it as often as possible. It's a little over 3 miles to walk around the whole lake, but it's worth it for views of the city sky line. We love to sit by the lake with friends and have picnics. At sunset, right when all of the lights turn on, is a particularly beautiful time to take a stroll and you'll be able to witness this special moment after witnessing us tie the knot!

One of our favorite date spots is this hands on museum. It’s great for kids and adults. If you’re here on a Thursday, they do an adults only night and serve cocktails. Our favorite walk in the city is from The Exploratorium, to North Beach for a cannoli (life is uncertain, eat dessert first), then to China Town for dim sum.
