Our story began when we met at Penn State in March of 2018, just three months before graduating. We continued dating through the summer, finding opportunities to visit each other in both Florida and Portugal. Finally, Ashlyn left for work in Taiwan and Francesco began working as an engineer in Panama. After several months of dating long distance, Francesco took the huge leap to move to Taiwan, study Mandarin and find a job. Francesco was working in Taipei City, while Ashlyn was in Taichung City, but the long distance one hour commute on High Speed Rail was so much better than the 13 hour time difference between Panama and Taiwan! When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, Ashlyn and Francesco decided to be closer to family and started a new adventure living in Panama. After four years of dating, Francesco proposed in Florida during a visit to Ashlyn's parents. We're so thankful for every experience along the way in this journey and especially to our friends and family who have supported us through the years!
