We're Getting Married!

Ashlyn and Dylan first met during Ashlyn's freshman year of college. At the time, Ashlyn's roommate was Avery Halverson, and Dylan's best friend was Bo Garrett. Although Avery and Bo were not dating yet, they were very close friends. One day, Avery invited Ashlyn to hang out in Bo's dorm room, and it just so happened to be Dylan's 18th birthday. Neither of them could have imagined that this simple introduction would one day lead them to the love story they are living in today. As her sophomore year began, their friendship naturally grew into something more. They started going on dates and quickly realized that what they had was special. One of the first things Ashlyn admired about Dylan was the way he cared for the people around him. As Ashlyn says, "He has such a servant's heart. In the three and a half years that I've known him, he has never failed to help someone or show them the love of Christ through his actions." His kindness, selflessness, unwavering faith, and genuine love for others are just a few of the many reasons she fell in love with him. For Dylan, one of the first things that stood out about Ashlyn was her incredibly kind heart. She goes above and beyond to make everyone around her feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Dylan often says that Ashlyn doesn't have a bad bone in her body. While he could spend hours talking about all the reasons he loves her, what he admires most is her love for the Lord. Ashlyn is one of the hardest-working people he knows, yet she always makes time to read her Bible, grow in her relationship with the Lord, and put God at the center of her life. Dylan feels incredibly blessed to spend the rest of his life with her and cannot wait for all the adventures that lie ahead. What began as a chance meeting in a college dorm room has grown into a beautiful love story built on friendship, faith, and love. Now, Ashlyn and Dylan are excited to begin their next chapter together and cannot wait to celebrate this special day with all of their family and friends!
