our love story

Our love story began back in 7th grade. What started as a middle school crush quickly turned into sweet moments at our lockers, sharing shy kisses on the cheek. It was short-lived puppy love, but little did we know, it was the beginning of something so much bigger. We stayed close friends through the years, and once we got to high school, we couldn’t seem to shake the connection. We had tons of classes together, especially algebra, where no matter how often our teacher tried, she just couldn’t keep us apart. We always found a way to sit next to each other or be partners. Eventually, the feelings came back—stronger this time. Our first date was at the outlet mall, where we shared our first real kiss (Jorge wasted no time!). Not long after, he left for a soccer tournament in Costa Rica, and when he came back, we went to see Incredibles 2. After the movie, he asked me to be his girlfriend—June 20, 2018. From there, our love grew through every stage of life. We’ve celebrated graduations, shared countless adventures, supported each other through ups and downs, and made unforgettable memories with both of our families. On October 20, 2023, we moved into our first apartment together with our sweet dog, Ollie. Then, exactly one year later, Jorge proposed—on the same date, one year later, in the most full-circle moment. Now, we’re preparing for the most meaningful part of our journey—our wedding day. On August 30th, we’ll say “I do” and receive the holy sacrament of marriage, surrounded by the people we love most. We’re so thankful for the story God has written for us, and we can’t wait to begin forever together. we love and miss the people who are a huge part of us but have the best seat in heaven. Kevin Crandall, Fabricio Torres, Jean and Larry Burnham, Carmine Monti, Arturo Andrade and Fred Henderson

Padrinos (Wedding Sponsors)

JORGE & ERICA ANDRADE: PADRINOS DE VELACION We are honored to have our Padrinos de Velación, who hold a special place in our hearts and in our ceremony. They are not only witnesses to our union but will continue to guide us throughout our marriage. Their role is one of deep spiritual importance—serving as a light in our journey, a reflection of God’s love, and a steady source of wisdom and faith. We are so grateful to walk this path with their support, prayers, and example, they will help lead us in love and in faith as husband and wife. SARAI ANDRADE: MADRINA DE ARRAS Our Madrina de Arras has gifted us with the special wedding coins, known as las arras matrimoniales, which symbolize prosperity, unity, and the promise to always provide for one another. These coins represent our shared commitment to care for and support each other in all seasons of life. During the ceremony, Jorge will present the coins to Ashlyn as a heartfelt promise to provide, protect, and nurture their home together. We are deeply grateful to our madrina for her blessing and for playing such a meaningful role in this sacred moment of our marriage. EDDIE & ANGELITA REYES: PADRINOS DEL ROSARIO Our Padrinos del Rosario will gift us a beautiful lasso rosary that will be placed around us during the ceremony, symbolizing our union as one in the eyes of God. This lasso represents the sacred bond of marriage—unbreakable and blessed by the Lord. As our padrinos lovingly place it over us, our priest will pray over our unity, asking for God's guidance, protection, and presence throughout our life together. We are honored to share this meaningful tradition with them and grateful for their role in blessing our marriage.
