Ashley and Oscar’s story began back in middle school, long before either of them imagined the life they would one day share. By their freshman year of high school, fate had sprinkled a little hint of what was to come —Oscar was part of Ashley’s quinceañera court, a moment that would later become a sweet piece of their shared history. At the time, they were simply friends, but over the years that friendship quietly blossomed into something more. By senior year, their story truly began. On December 10th, 2017, Ashley and Oscar went on their very first date. They saw Thor: Ragnarok, which definitely was not Ashley’s idea, but that night turned out to be the start of a love that has only grown stronger. College at UMass Lowell was where they really started building their life together. Between classes, part-time jobs, and endless study sessions, they cheered each other on as they chased their dreams. Ashley earned her master’s degree, then they took the big step of moving in together, and soon after, Oscar earned his master’s degree. Each new achievement was another reminder of what they could accomplish as a team. The moment Oscar officially graduated, he had something even bigger planned. Just one month later, on a sunlit beach in Mexico with the waves rolling in, Oscar asked Ashley to marry him. She said yes—marking the start of their next great adventure. From middle school acquaintances to high school sweethearts, college partners, and now an engaged couple, their story has been filled with laughter, love, and a shared vision for the future. And this is just the beginning.
