Maid of Honor
Dani is my little sister and came into my life when I was around 15, and I am so incredibly grateful for that. She may have become my sister through marriage, but she truly feels like so much more than that. From the beginning, she welcomed me with kindness and has always made me feel supported and included. Over the years, she has become someone I can laugh with, talk to, and count on.
Officiant & Groomsman
Joaquin and I have lived across the street from each other since we were five, and I couldn’t have asked for a better best friend. When we were little, you could always find us playing video games or making skits around the neighborhood. He’s someone I deeply trust and value in my life, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to stand by my side as a groomsman and also marry Ash and I.
Bridesmaid
Meg and I have been best friends since 10th grade. She is the kind of person I can spend hours on the phone with, and usually do. From the moment we became friends, we just clicked instantly. She is my built-in hype girl, my go-to for everything, and the person who always knows exactly what I am thinking before I even say it. I am so grateful life brought us together and that I get to call her my best friend.
Groomsman
From Xbox chat to PC Discord to finally meeting in real life, Gabe and I have been friends for over 10 years. He is one of the most caring people I know and is always down for an adventure, even if that adventure means getting one phone call from me and somehow being convinced to buy a plane ticket to Japan. Everyone needs a friend like Gabe in their life.
Bridesmaid
Laur is the kindest soul I know and one of the most genuinely good people in the world, and I am so grateful to have someone like her in my life. She is one of those friends where, even though we do not talk all the time, when we do it feels like no time has passed at all and we just pick right back up where we left off. Everything about our friendship feels so easy, peaceful, and homey. Laur has been my friend since high school, and she truly just feels like home.
Groomsman
Mike and I have been friends since preschool, and our friendship has stayed strong ever since. Growing up, we loved playing the Wii U and running around with airsoft guns, making the best memories. Our humor matches perfectly, and we can always count on each other for a good laugh. He’s someone I know will always have my back, no matter what, and I’m so grateful our friendship has lasted through every stage of life.
Bridesmaid
You don’t get to pick your family, and especially not your in-laws, but I feel incredibly lucky with mine. Zach and I met young and grew up together, and Sam and Ainsley did the same, so we’ve all grown up alongside each other in the best way. I first met Ainsley when I was 17, and she was 15, and from that moment on, she has felt like family. So much love and so many memories have been made since then, and I truly can’t wait for all the ones still to come.
Groomsman
Sam has always been one of the goofiest people I know, and somehow always knows how to make me laugh, no matter what is going on. We have shared a lifetime of memories together, and that fun, easy dynamic has never changed. I had the chance to stand by him on his wedding day, and it means a lot to have him up here next to me on mine.
Flower Girl
Margot is one of the most creative preteens you will ever meet, and once she puts her mind to something, she is going to make it happen. Walking into the Nelson house, you can always catch her either writing a story or singing a song, which is just a glimpse into how creative she is. We feel so lucky to have her in our lives, and as Zach’s little cousin, it means so much to have her as our flower girl.
Flower Girl
Goldie is one of the funniest children you will ever meet. She is quick with a joke and always knows how to make people laugh, but she is also extremely kind and caring. She has the sweetest heart and a way of making everyone around her feel special and loved. While she is Zach’s cousin, she has made Ashley feel like just another one of her cousins, too. We feel so lucky to have her as our flower girl.
Ring Bearer
Jax (aka “Paxy”) is Ashley’s littlest cousin, but he has always felt more like a sibling. As the youngest of the cousins, he is the sweetest final piece of the family, and he knows it. He is wise beyond his years, incredibly smart, and always eager to learn more. We love watching The Great British Bake Off, building Legos, and laughing at just about everything together. He is also the best little coin collector, and he is part of the reason Zach and I have to keep traveling so we can bring him back coins from all around the world.
