Zachary and Ashley first met at work in the summer of 2018, but they were both too nervous to talk in person. So, like any good Gen Z love story, it began with a message on Instagram. Ashley made the first move and sent Zach a DM, starting it all. Zach was convinced she was about to ask him to cover a shift, but surprise, she was actually flirting. At the same time, Ashley had left for the summer to California to visit her dad, so they spent the entire summer talking and getting to know each other over Instagram messages, and not once did Ashley ask him to cover a shift. It took all summer, but Zach finally asked for her number, and when Ashley came back to Utah, they went on their first date, bowling in early August. By August 17th, the start of their senior year of high school, they made it official, and they have not looked back since. They still go bowling every year on their anniversary to celebrate where it all started.
