Spicy Caramel, Janis, is equal parts sass, sweetness, and laughter. She has a way of lighting up a room with her humor while quietly being one of the hardest workers anyone knows. Whether cracking jokes or lending a hand, she’s the friend everyone wishes they had. Janis has been there through all stages of life and continues to be a constant presence with early morning Snapchats filled with silly animal filters, late-night calls, spontaneous gas station runs, card games, movie nights, and, of course, never forgetting fish and chips at the strip.

Lindsey was a sneaky friend I never expected to find in the middle of the Midwest. Nebraska had its challenges, but she somehow became the outgoing spark who could get everyone out of their shell which, if you know her, is hilariously opposite of her usual self. Smart, thoughtful, and quietly inspiring, Lindsey pushes everyone to be better, all while making every moment fun. Through the years and our yearly girls’ trips I’m so glad we continue to make memories we can laugh about long after they happen. Cheers to our wedding era!

Matt is Ashley’s brother and a part time actor in the movie Nacho Libre. From shuttling Ashley and Tanner to the airport early in the morning to having his suitcase rained on during his latest trip to the lake, Matt has always been by our side. Now, with the new house, at least he doesn’t have to sleep on the couch when Ashley and Tanner visit.

If you need someone in your corner when things get tough, she’s the one you want backing you up. Tori has a heart of gold and absolutely knows how to get down! From being teammates when we were little to attending the same university, we’ve shared so many of our own concerts, discovered new artists, and powered through countless study sessions together. Whether we’re relaxing on the couch or trying out a new restaurant, we always have the best time. She’s truly my twin flame.

Justin has known Tanner since Tanner was four years old. Justin has been a constant and central figure in Tanner’s life even after the booger disaster of 2004 by a young Tanner. Justin is always ready for a golf trip, a ski weekend, or an away Griz game in wine country.

She didn’t want to like me at first but I wiggled my way into her life anyway. Now we have weekday lunch dates, spontaneous city adventures, and we walk through life side by side. She’s loyal and protective to the point that she would absolutely fight a 5’10” girl for calling me the B-word and somehow still selfless enough to always share her lip gloss. Jaiden has easily become one of my favorite parts of everyday life. From daily texts and constant updates to sacrificing sleep for 5 a.m. workout classes (when we actually make it), she shows up for me in every way. And apparently, we look exactly alike… IYKYK. I’m so lucky that I’m not just gaining a sister through marriage but I’ve had one all along. Now she’s stuck with me forever just like her brother.

Zoe and I met in college as teammates, sharing the soccer field, long bus rides, library hours, and plenty of emotion in between tears, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Those years shaped so much of who we became, and they hold some of my favorite memories. It was during that same time that I met my fiancé, and one of our very first dates was a double date with delicious sushi. She has known Tanner for as long as I have, and over the years we’ve shared countless celebrations and so many joyful memories. I’m so grateful to have her by my side now and always

Drew has been one of Tanner’s best friends since second grade. From their days in the Discovery ski program to spring training trips in Arizona, they’ve been close for a long time. These days, you can usually find them at Griz games, out on the golf course, or talking about one of the above. Be sure to ask Drew about his passenger side door after Tanner borrowed his car.

With Ashley’s broken English in 2010, and Kellsey’s endless patience and kindness, our friendship began with an English project and quietly grew into something truly special. What started as a small moment became a bond that would shape so much of our lives. More than a decade later, we share a friendship rooted in honesty, trust, and the purest intentions. We grew up side by side, sharing life as it unfolded Sunday church, school days, soccer practices, and long tournament weekends. Through every season of life, we’ve created, and continue to create, memories filled with love and laughter that will last a lifetime.
Hunter Paulson

Hunter has known Tanner their entire lives they even have a daycare named after them, courtesy of the fine people at Cuddle Bugs. They were in the same grade and attended the same schools all the way through high school before heading off to college. From football and nights downtown to rounds of golf, they’ve always stayed close. While they’ve shared plenty of adventures, they’re in no hurry to take on another three day cross country drive anytime soon.
