We met our freshman year at CMU, but didn't become friends until second semester. We were sitting with a group in a friend's dorm, and locked eyes across the room as someone we both shared a mutual dislike for made a comment that was a total *eye roll*. Fast forward to today, and I could not imagine my life without Eva. We talk literally every day (not kidding). We make sure to hang out at least once a quarter, and have dubbed these get-together's "Ashleva's Weekend." I could not imagine having anyone else stand next to me, and am so grateful to have her in my life!
Brendan Ellis
Best Man
Brendan and I met in high school through mutual friends. Over the years, we became closer friends ourselves. All through high school, probably far too many, nights and weekends were spent in Brendan’s basement. Eventually, we went to college at Central Michigan University together, where we were roommates throughout our whole time there. Even as Brendan studied abroad, and met his wife, and traveled the world with her after college, we remain the closest of friends. There is no one else I would want next to me on my wedding day.
Amy Howanietz
Bridesmaid
We became fast friends in kindergarten, and have been together ever since! We practically grew up together, and consider each other's families our own families. From watching America's Next Top Model marathon's at Amy's house and swimming in her pool, to playing softball and cheering together, we have been through all the ups and downs that comes with growing up. Amy is planning her own wedding too, and I am so excited to be going through this experience together!
Brandon Anderson
Groomsman
Brandon and I grew up together on 2nd street in Freeland. We basically shared a backyard. Growing up together, we were inseparable. We had sleepovers at one of our houses almost every weekend. When Brandon got a snowboard, I told my parents I needed one too. He basically taught me how to snowboard, spending every day after school in the winters at Apple Mountain. Brandon has been my friend for my entire life. I am so excited to have him stand with me on my wedding day.
Kristi Kumorek
Bridesmaid
Kristi is my oldest friend (in more ways than one). We have known each other since birth and grew up a few houses away from each other, so it was only natural for us to become friends. Although we lived in the same neighborhood, we went to different high schools, and I think that prepared our friendship to endure long times apart, including that one time Kristi lived in Africa for two years. I am so excited for her to join us on our special day!
Kevin Boudot
Groomsman
Kevin and I met in elementary school and have been friends ever since. Starting in 6th grade, we officially became the cool kids when we took up the trombone in the school band. We kept with it for a couple years, holding down the bottom couple chairs in our instrument group. We remained close friends all through high school, again spending far too many weekends hanging out in Brendan’s basement. Kevin personally enjoyed it so much, he would later buy a house next door. There is no better friend anyone could ask for than Kevin, I am so glad to have him stand with me on my wedding day.
