Ashley and Ryan met during college at CMU, while they were working together at an on-campus job. They worked together for about a year, and developed a strong friendship. Although they both felt interest in each other, they didn't officially hang out until about two weeks before graduation. Ashley invited Ryan out with a couple of other friends for a classic Pint Night at O'Kelly's. Although the whole point of Pints is to get the cheapest beer ($1 Keystone Light), he insisted on buying her a Bud Light (much classier). They ended up spending almost every day up until graduation together, spending as much time as they could with each other before she made her move to DC and he stayed in Michigan. Leave it to them to start a relationship right before they were to go their separate ways! They'd both say it was worth it because look where they are now!

They met up after work that Friday night in October to get some fancy drinks at a Detroit speakeasy - The Standby. After a couple of over-priced, but absolutely delicious cocktails, they headed home to enjoy their favorite dinner (Taco Bell, obviously) and watch one of their favorite guilty pleasures (Jersey Shore, of course). As they were sitting on the couch in their PJs, enjoying their beloved tacos and trash TV, Ryan brought over a couple of chocolates from their favorite Detroit chocolate shop - Bon Bon Bon (crème brûlée flavor, Ashley's favorite). She opened up the packaging, and there sitting on top, was the ring she had always dreamed of. Ryan promptly dropped down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. She said yes, and now here they are! About to embark on the most magical day of their lives, where they will officially begin the rest of their lives together.
